Introduction

Hi, I’m Rose, the original owner and current co-owner of Miraculous Creations. A few years ago I made my son Jesse and my husband Phil partial owners too. Whew, 19 years in business, and what a ride it’s been! For about 15 years I pierced full time. I love piercing and the whole interaction with my clients. I also loved being in the store helping customers find the right jewelry and answering their questions and concerns. In 2002 I broke my ankle very severely, and for the second time. The injury was severe enough that it will never be normal again and now it’s getting arthritis making it quite painful. So, I changed my position from piercer to office manager. Now my duties include advertising, doing the books, banking, taking care of all paper work, licensing, insurance etc. I keep an eye on everything that goes on at the shop, I’m the organizer of the general running of the shop.

My Family

First of all, I’m a mother and a wife. My immediate family consists of my fantastic son Jesse, my wonderful husband Phil, our beautiful  daughter-in-law Kate, beautiful granddaughter Olivia, our dog Redgi, two cats Zachary & Angel and our grand pups Penny (Penny Lou) and Knuckles (Nuks).

I married Phil in 2005 and we have since moved to northern central Maine. I am blessed with a great guy and a truly wonderful marriage. He is a silent partner in the shop. He is a software engineer and doesn’t have tattoos or piercings so he leaves running the shop to Jesse and I. But he is always there to listen to the stories, comfort me when I’m upset, support me when I’m stressed, share the joys and let me know he’s proud of the work I do.

About Me

Very happily married and crazy about my husband. Proud mother and very close to Jesse and his wife Kate. My Granddaughter Olivia is the apple of my eye. Extreme Workaholic, trying to slow down. Homebody, especially in the winter. Independent, Determined, Opinionated and Stubborn, loving, caring. Spiritual not religious.

Dislikes

I am passionate about customer service. I work extremely hard to offer excellent customer service so bad customer service makes me insane.
People that drive in the far left passing lane blocking the lane so other people can’t go by. People, the left lane is for passing. If you're going slower than the cars in the lanes to your right YOU'RE IN THE WRONG LANE!
I am appalled by animal and child abuse
Other things I strongly dislike are liars, cheaters, thieves and prejudice.

I volunteer to maintain the food pantry Facebook page.
We’re member of the Guilford Historical Society.
Phil and I are both water people so we spend a lot of time in or on the water. We have a lake house that we stay at in the summer and do a lot of boating.
I also like to ride my water bicycle from our dock to the town beach, jump off for a swim then ride back home.
I read when I can, I usually have 5 or 6 books in progress at a time spread out through the house.

Riding my snowmobile on the trails through the beautiful Maine woods enjoying the deer and the peace of nature.

Fond Memories:

I often think of times with my parents that weren’t appreciated until I lost them both.
Raising Jesse, he has always been a great kid and he gave my life meaning and purpose.
Time with my dogs Sheena and Tiny and all the pets I’ve been blessed with over the years.
Our honeymoon in Hawaii.
Snorkeling with dozens of stingrays and getting to hold one about 3ft wide in Antigua. Swimming with and literally holding onto a dolphin while she pulled me through the water in Tortola.
Watching Phil swim with a large pod of wild spinner dolphins that swam in fairly close to the beach on the island of Lanai in Hawaii. I was watching from shore with tears in my eyes it was so beautiful to see him have that amazing experience. Viewing coral and beautiful fish and turtles from a submarine. Watching the sun set from a catamaran off the Kona coast.
Jesse & Kate’s beautiful wedding. The birth of our beautiful granddaughter Olivia Ann Fiske and every minute I've had with her since her birth.

Looking forward to:
