Every tattoo artist has different experience, expertise, quality and style just like any other type of artist. We try to have all different types available for you to choose from. Along with experience differences, there are also price differences. Here is a guide to help you understand your choices. Hourly prices are just used as a very general guideline. You are charged by the piece not by the hour. The artist makes their best time estimate when pricing your tattoo and will also take into consideration the time it takes them to prepare your tattoo such as drawing a custom piece. Again, these prices are not exact and are meant as a general guideline.
*** Please be sure you understand which level the tattoo artist you are choosing falls under!
Apprentice Tattoo Artist:
$50 -$70 per hour
Has completed an apprenticeship (Training program) and is ready to tattoo but they are new. Please expect this to be reflected in their work. They’re price will begin at $50 an hour and advance as they become more experienced.
Flash Tattoo Artist: $80.00 per hour
A Flash artist does a good job at most basic tattoos. They do the flash from our flash racks or online. They do not do custom work, portraits or anything overly fancy or difficult.
Standard Tattoo Artist: $100 per hour (Joe)
This is a very good tattoo artist. You can depend on being happy with their work. They do all flash work in addition to custom work and cover-ups & fix-ups. They are well trained and have years of experience. You will not be disappointed.
Portrait Tattoo Artist: $120 and up per hour (Eddy)
Portraits are a SPECIALTY! Even many excellent tattoo artists cannot do good portraits! And they are virtually impossible to fix when they are done badly! Portraits are obviously important to you or you wouldn’t be getting it done so you want it perfect. It’s well worth paying a little more for a portrait specialist.
Advanced Tattoo Artist: $120 per hour (Eddy, Justin)
This is an EXCELLENT tattoo artist that is much better with detail and color than most tattoo artist out there. They can tattoo pretty much anything! They are good at flash, custom work, fix ups & cover ups. You will be thrilled with the tattoo you get from them!
*All of our artists do FREE touch ups of their own work as long as they are working here. Because artists are all self-employed, Miraculous Creations cannot provide free touch ups of artists' work after the artist has left. But as long as they are at Miraculous Creations, they will be happy to care for their work at no charge.
** If an artist does leave, one of our other artists will be happy to do touch ups at a very fair rate.
